We're big fans of Mental Illness Happy Hour. What else should we be listening to?
The speaker line-up and schedule for the first-ever polyglot CoderCruise was announced recently, and we're happy to say that OSMI volunteer Amanda Folson will be taking part, with a talk about mental health in tech titled Silence is Deadly. It will take place on the second at-sea day, July 17th, at 11:30am in Chambers II.
Amanda will also be giving a technical talk titled Give Me A REST! at 9:30am on July 22nd (the third full day at sea) in Chambers II. Other speakers include several longtime OSMI supporters, so it looks to be a great event.
Conference passes are still available and are only $295; however, the cruise must be booked separately. For more information, check out the CoderCruise website.
OSMI founder Ed Finkler will be giving his talk Stronger Than Fear: Mental Health in the Developer Community on Wednesday at 11:30am, right after the morning break. If you're at LoopConf as well, come say hi.
Has something you've tried recently worked particularly well for you? Let us know! If there are any links or other resources that you can share, we'd love to put them up on our website.
Nearly half the organization is down in Miami this weekend for SunshinePHP. We posted a schedule of our talks last week. While we don't have a booth, you can definitely find any of us during the hallway track if you'd like to chat about OSMI. We're looking forward to meeting you!
